Welcome Bulletin Boards

These beginning-of-the-school-year bulletin boards (or posters) help to create a warm classroom environment -
a קְהִלָּה / kehillah (community). For more welcome bulletin boards/posters, visit our website at www.jecc.org/teachercenteror give us a call, 216-377-6000.

Using a Welcome Bulletin Board:
  • Begin the school year with the center object. On the first day of school, have students write his/her name on the smaller objects. Hang them on the bulletin board.
  • Ask the students to answer a specific question (favorite food, favorite holiday, number of brothers/sisters). S/He writes the answer on the small object. Hang them on the bulletin board. At a later date, have the students guess who said what.
  • If this bulletin board is a place where your students can reach it, use the bulletin board as an attendance chart. Laminate the smaller object and attach a piece of velcro. Each morning, each student places his/her piece on the bulletin board. The objects not on the bulletin board are your absent students.

IPad Welcome - There's an APP For That!

This is set up as a 24" x 40" poster (can be printed in 12 pieces from the pdf and put together). The pdf copy does not include pictures or the grade. Print your grade and attach it to the poster. Take pictures of your students and print and attach to the 4" app squares. If you laminate the poster, laminate before attaching the grade and photos. The poster can then be reused at another time.

Note: Ipad Welcome2 is 12-page pdf - print this if you don't have access to a poster printer; Ipad welcome is the 24" x 40" poster.
